Director

Dr. Grace is a pediatrician and health policy professional by background. She directs the University of Hawaiʻi (UH) System Office of Strategic Health Initiatives, where she leads the UH Healthy Hawaiʻi Initiative and serves as the Principal Investigator (PI) or co-PI for projects such as the Rural Health Research and Policy Center, Center for Indigenous Innovation and Health Equity, and Red Hill Registry.

Dr. Weldon is an Environmental Health Scientist and Associate Specialist faculty member in the Office of Public Health Studies at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Her research interests and expertise are in exposure assessment and environmental epidemiology with a particular focus on children and female and male reproduction.

Director of Community Engagement

Impacted by the Red Hill water crisis as a military spouse living in the Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam community, Tara leads outreach and community engagement with a focus on trust-building and inclusion. She is a master’s student in Geography & Environment at UH Mānoa, where she also earned degrees in Communicology, Anthropology, and Ethnic Studies

Referral Manager

Exposed to the Red Hill contamination while living in a civilian neighborhood, Stephanie “Steph” manages the Registry’s referral program to connect individuals with needed care and services. A registered nurse and lactation consultant, she brings both professional insight and personal commitment to the role.

Enrollment and Survey Administration Manager

Lauren was born and raised on Oʻahu and is excited to be a part of a team focused on a community affected here at home. She received her master’s degree from the University of Hawaiʻi. Research has always been a big part of her career and prior to this, her focus has been on women’s health studies. She also spent time working on neurology studies, vaccine research, and obesity studies.

Operations Manager

At the Red Hill Registry, Jason’s role is to streamline processes, ensure financial accountability, and efficient collaboration across university teams and external partners. He previously worked at the Kamehameha Schools’  Community Education division, supporting statewide initiatives for learners in public and charter schools. His education includes a PhD focused on religious social and economic ethics and an MPA specializing in nonprofit management.
